Attending The Live Orientation
An Online Live Orientation is Mandatory for Geology 10
Requrements: Computer with internet access and a web browser like FireFox or Internet Explorer, ability to hear sound on your computer, no mic is required. Students with special needs, please contact the instructor.
- Live Orientation: You will simply click on the orientation link at 8pmTBA the link will be provided for you right here: http://grossmontcollege.na3.acrobat.com/alameda10/ Log in as a guest, no password is required, use your real name for attendance purposes. Attending the Oriendation :
You will be participating in Geology 10, Live Group Orientation Online. You must sign in: Use your real name, roll will be taken. -
Questions: You may ask your instructor questions during the orientation. Type in your question or comment and I will get to them as soon as possible. You are welcome to communicate with your fellow students attending the orientation via the chat window. There will be an online Assistant there to help you, you are also welcome to ask the Assistant questions.

Orientation Status: Each Online student participating in the Online Live Orientation has a status alert. (you will find your status alert on the left side of your screen near your chat window) Use this status alert to show when you "step away", or cannot hear, etc. The Live Orientation is a new venture at the College of Alameda, please be patient while we work the bugs out of providing Distance Learning students with a Live in classroom experience remotely.
- 10 percent of your grade is based on your participation in the orientation and the class forums.
